Jean-François Huc

There is an exciting convergence of global, federal and provincial initiatives targeting climate change, and a unique window of opportunity is emerging. Mr. Jean-François Huc, also known as JF, has been the Chief Executive Officer at BioAmber Inc. (formerly DNP Green Technology, Inc.) since 2009. Mr. Huc served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, Business Development of Diversified Natural Products Inc., where he created the healthcare business, secured the products through acquisition and licensing, established the IP portfolio, managed the preclinical and clinical development efforts, implemented good manufacturing practices, put in place a quality assurance program, developed regulatory and commercial strategies for the products and negotiated distribution and licensing agreements with third parties. As Chief Operating Officer, he also oversaw the restructuring of DNP's succinic acid division, established Bioamber JV with ARD and managed the spin-off of the succinic acid business.

He has broad experience in the pharmaceuticals and health care industries. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of TGN Biotech Inc., in Quebec City. From 2000 to 2002, he served as Chief Executive Officer of MedExact S.A., which he founded. He serves as a Director of BioAmber Inc.

Prior to MedExact, Mr. Huc served as the Vice President of Alliance Management for Sanofi-Synthelabo S.A. in Paris, managing strategic alliances with Bristol Myers Squibb, Organon and Debiopharm. From 1995 to 1997, he was Partner and served as Director of the French healthcare practice of Arthur D. Little.

He holds an M.B.A. from York University in Toronto, and an Honours B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Western Ontario.
